In The Breath Between, Portland artist Deborah Horrell creates glass vessels in the pate de verre and cast methods. Using the vessel as a metaphor, Horrell composes a contemporary still life which often refers to the structure of family and other human interactions. The space between each vessel in the arrangement is as important as the breath between words is to a conversation.
