Double Vision is a series of ten paintings produced by Dual Application Agency(DAA), a collaborative partnership of two Chicago artists, Ben Dallas and Burleigh Kronquist. Each image in the series is made by the artists working together simultaneously on a single surface. Standing on either side of a large squeegee, the artists pull a thin layer of acrylic glaze on to a tile board panel. The process is one of repeated applications and alterations. With each pull of the squeegee, the questions arises: Is it yes or no? The process stops only when the two artists agree that the answer to the question in yes. The imagery of Double Vision strongly suggests some generalized, fleeting place while equally alluding to the processes of photography and digital media.

Elizabeth Leach Gallery is proud to exhibit unique works and multiples by one of the premier artists of our time, Susan Rothenberg. Rothenberg rose to prominence in the late 1970’s with her large canvases featuring figurative work, which evolved from drawings. In addition to paintings and drawings from the 1980’s, this exhibition will include Rothenberg’s recently completed new prints. Each lithograph is a master work of Rothenberg’s current style and imagery, similar in feel to her recent and much admired paintings. This series of prints reflect Rothenberg’s signature painterly style and abstracted imagery.
