Join us at Cooley Gallery at Reed College for a performance by gallery artist MK Guth. Choreography for Reading Aloud, functions to activate libraries, museums, literary collections, bookstores and sites with consumable texts of any sort. 40 performers will be given texts from sites to read aloud creating a cacophony of sounds where stories collide with facts, theory, opinions, lists and any manner of written work. What happens when multiple platforms of knowledge overlap, intersect, and obscure each other? How does the transportation of meaning shift when multiple printed works are amplified by voice? This performance is part of Converge 45.
MK Guth is represented by Elizabeth Leach Gallery.
