2021 CASCADE AIDS PROJECT ART AUCTION CURATOR

The 2021 Art Auction Curator this year is Daniel Peabody. Daniel Peabody is a Portland-based curator and gallery director. He has been Director at Elizabeth Leach Gallery since 2006. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Portland Art Dealers Association since 2010, including as President from 2014 to 2018. Additional board service includes the Contemporary Art Council of the Portland Art Museum and Disjecta Contemporary Art Center. Since 2019 he has served on the Art Task Force for Central City Concern, working to site donated artworks in the public spaces of Central City Concern's buildings throughout Portland. In the past, he has served as a juror for art exhibitions at Portland Community College and Oregon College of Art and Craft, as well as seven of CAP's prior Annual Art Auctions. Prior to joining Elizabeth Leach Gallery, Peabody served as the Director and Coordinator of the Laverne Krause Gallery at the University of Oregon. He holds a Master of Fine Art and a Bachelor of Fine Art from the University of Oregon.

ABOUT THE EVENT
One of Portland’s most renowned events benefiting Cascade AIDS Project: a virtual experience celebrating art, community, and resilience. You will have an opportunity to champion the mission of CAP by helping to support and empower all people living with or affected by HIV, reduce stigma, and provide compassionate healthcare to the LGBTQ+ community & beyond.

ARTWORK SELECTION
A maximum of 170 pieces of art are selected for auction. All artwork is juried with the goal of displaying professional high quality, well-crafted art of diverse media.

Selected art will be published online with features periodically through social media. Curator’s Choice work will appear in a printed catalog in the VIP Party Box.
